Body-ballet is considered to be one of the most unique and beautiful type of fitness: it involves grace, strength and endurance. This type of workouts has seen a growing popularity in the recent year.
You would probably ask what is the reason for such popularity. Let’s put it this way: people are always looking for new ways to lose weight in order to bring variety into their routine workouts. Have you ever got bored of running or cycling every other day? Well, it does get routine-ish after a while for all of us. That’s exactly the reason for ballet-body’s growing popularity. Besides, every ballet-body workout is a lovely and unique performance of your body.
When you choose a training program, you must be careful as not all ballet classes contribute to weight loss. That is why exercises for weight loss should include a warm-up, aerobic, stretching and vigorous exercises.
It is important to note that there are classes where the whole program is just stretching. This greatly helps to recover from the injuries and illnesses as well as to maintain your great shape, but it is absolutely useless for weight loss.
Body-ballet was invented in 2005 by an American choreographer Lee Sarago. Many people mistakenly think that body-ballet is just a modern interpretation of classical ballet. In fact, this fitness type is a mixture of classical dance, yoga and Pilates.
The main goal of ballet-body is weight loss as well as getting a toned body.
Body-ballet promotes weight loss due to the fact that your heart accelerates to 120-130 beats per second, which is perfect for weight loss. Make sure that your exercises take at least an hour to complete – that is how much time your body needs to start burning fat. It should be at least three workouts per week.
Ballet-body coaches also say that it is necessary to enjoy ballet-body classes for successful weight loss. If you're going to come to a dance class and just ‘be’ there for 60 minutes with no satisfaction, as if it is some kind of heavy duty, you will not get positive results.
In this case, instead of concentrating on performing the movements, you’ll think about tasty food for dinner or what your boyfriend is doing. To achieve the desired result you have to think only about the training process itself, and, of course, about the result. Choreographers say that you will see results within 4-6 weeks of regular ballet classes.
If you have no opportunity to go to a fitness club, but you love ballet, and you want to use this type of fitness to get in shape, you can practice at home. To do this, you need floor without carpet, a stretching mat and the desire to do it.
